Proven Results
We don't publish case studies to impress you. We publish them so you can see exactly what we've done, how we did it, and what the measurable result was.
Client: Design Nexus — Blackstone Portfolio Company
Managing interior design commissions across multiple studios, builders, and designers had become an operational bottleneck. Each month, the finance team manually calculated commissions using spreadsheets — cross-referencing builder types, rate schedules, commission splits, and SAP data by hand. Approval chains lived in email threads with no audit trail. Disputes over splits and rates had no resolution path. Statements were filed inconsistently across inboxes and shared drives, making audit prep a multi-day effort. The result: hours of avoidable admin work every cycle, preventable payout errors, and zero real-time visibility into where any given lot stood in the design process.
We designed and built Design Nexus — a purpose-built web application that digitizes the entire interior design commission workflow from first client appointment to final payout. Built on React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, it replaced spreadsheets and email chains with a single structured platform used daily by designers, regional managers, and finance. Commission rates are tied directly to builder type and revenue category and apply automatically with no manual lookups. Finance triggers the full monthly calculation in a single click. Lot submissions, commission splits, and new builder requests all route through a centralized approvals queue — every approval and rejection timestamped and attributed. Every finalized PDF statement is indexed and archived by year, month, state, studio, and location.
Client: National Youth Sports Organization
A nationwide organization operating more than 6,500 individual locations engaged us to modernize one of their most critical annual processes — a process that had been entirely paper-based since its inception. Each year, the organization conducted a large-scale data collection event involving a distributed team gathering information across multiple stations simultaneously. When the event concluded, they were left with approximately 500 sheets of paper representing nearly 14,500 individual data points — collected by different people, in different formats, with no consistent structure. Staff then had to manually sort, reconcile, and enter every data point into a spreadsheet by hand. From the close of the event to a usable result: three to four weeks of labor-intensive post-processing.
We replaced the entire workflow with a wireless, paperless digital system. Workers now collect data in real time from their assigned stations using mobile devices. All information is structured, validated, and centralized the moment it is captured — eliminating the paper collection step, the manual reconciliation step, and the data entry step entirely. Leadership gains access to rich real-time data, live metrics, and comparative analytics the instant the event ends.
